The project

Stork is a workplace platform, a business messenger that brings the office water-cooler to hybrid teams: voice and video notes, screen recording, transcription, and serendipitous public conversations you can drop into. For a seed raise on crowdfunding, founder Michael needed a sharp pitch, but Stork is pre-revenue, so there are no KPIs to lean on. The existing deck was, in his words, "boring and classical." We sharpened the messaging and rebuilt it into a visual pitch that sells the product, the market and the opportunity, with no numbers required.

The starting point

A sharp idea, a plain deck.

The strategy was sound and the product was real, but the deck was, in Michael's own words, "boring and classical." Orange header bars, paragraphs of text, stock photos. The right story was in there; it just sat flat on the page, with nothing to make a crowdfunding audience stop and lean in.

How we worked

We fix the thinking before the slides.

No template, no quick reskin. The same partnership we bring to every founder: strategy first, then design, then motion. The rest of this page is those three moves, in order.

01

Sharpen the message

We started with a working session, not a design tool. With no KPIs to show, we made the pitch about the problem, the product and the proven market, led with the death of the office water-cooler, and used Slack as the proof the market is real.

02

Design the story

A bold system in Stork orange with real product UI, so the platform feels live, not described. Every slide carries one idea with energy. The plain Keynote look became a pitch that holds a scroll-happy crowdfunding audience.

03

Bring it to life

Strategic animation so each point builds on cue, and a deck designed to double as a crowdfunding video for StartEngine, WeFunder and Product Hunt. So it works whether someone reads it, presents it, or just watches it play.

Step 01 / Sharpen the message

No numbers? No problem.

A seed deck usually leans on traction. Stork had none yet, so the pitch had to win on the idea alone. We turned that into a strength: a clean, confident story about a real problem, a working product, and a market someone else has already proven.

Before · the problem, in prose

"During the pandemic, most of our business interactions moved to video, and to be honest, we didn't love that experience. Accidental meetings and passing conversations were no more."

After · the problem, in five words

Video killed the spontaneous interaction. One line that names the pain everyone who works remotely already feels.

Why it works   A paragraph asks the audience to do the work. One sharp headline does it for them, and lands the exact gap Stork exists to close: the lost water-cooler moment.
Before · no proof to point to

A pitch with no KPIs and nothing to anchor the size of the opportunity.

After · borrow a proven market

Slack and Teams already proved the market exists. Stork plays the same game, built for the way hybrid teams really work.

Why it works   When you have no numbers of your own, the smartest move is to stand next to someone whose numbers are public. The market question is settled, so the pitch can focus on why Stork wins it.
Step 02 / Design the story

The same slide, rebuilt to stop the scroll.

Here are the real slides, before and after. The plain, text-heavy look becomes bold and visual: one idea, room to breathe, and Stork orange carrying the energy a crowdfunding audience expects.

After · live

The opening. From a quiet title page to a confident brand moment.

AfterRedesigned problem slide, one bold headline

The problem. A paragraph becomes a single line: video killed the spontaneous interaction.

After · live

Why now. A wall of quotes becomes a clear picture of a new way of working.

The brand system

One bold language, slide to slide.

A single confident palette built on Stork orange, so the deck has the energy of a consumer product, not a corporate slideshow. Warm charcoal to ground it, vivid orange to lead the eye, real product UI so the platform feels alive.

Step 03 / Bring it to life

Built to play on a crowdfunding page.

On StartEngine or WeFunder, no one is in the room with you, the deck has to carry itself. So we built it to move: a sharp, self-running story an investor can simply watch, and a foundation Stork's videographers can turn into the launch video. Below, the redesigned deck in motion.

Your raise

Pitching before you have the numbers?

Early-stage, pre-revenue, raising on the strength of the idea, that is exactly the pitch we love to build. Messaging, bold design and motion, so your story sells before a single KPI exists.
